As outdoor picnics and reunions with loved ones edge closer, some of the nation’s best-loved ice cream brands have just announced the launch of new bite-sized products to brighten up those lockdown days.
These dreamy bite-sized treats by Magnum, Cornetto and Walls have already hit Tesco’s shelves nationwide and are also available online from tesco.com, so snackers can get their hands on the new ice cream additions. Prices for the treats start from just £1.90 for a box of 10.
The seven new frozen treats have been created in response to research showing a 26% rise in snacking, and the tasty looking items aim to highlight how the best things really do come in small, shareable packages.
Speaking about the range, Jeannie Richardson, UK Senior Brand Manager, said: “We know that Brits love snacking and miniature formats, so we’re thrilled to be launching a delicious range of small bite snacks from some of the nation’s favourite ice cream brands. With five exciting new products exclusively in Tesco, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
The snacks were first spotted by foodie Instagram account NewsfoodUK, and although fans were excited, they did comment on the cost.
The caption on the post reads: "New Cornetto Tips! Let’s all be honest, the best part of a Cornetto is the chocolate tip at the bottom of the cone - so these are a genius idea! However, 5 for £3 is a bit pricey, when you could buy a pack of 5 Cornettos for £1 and eat the tips of them."

Cornetto Tips, £3 (available in-store)
Popular favourite amongst many snackers, Cornetto, has launched two mini frozen treats including just the ‘tip’ of a cornetto - which, let’s face it, is even better than the ice cream itself and best of all, they’re just £3 for a pack of 5.
Cornetto Miniature Cones , £3
The brand has also launched Miniature Cones, with two flavours in one box; Chocolate and Vanilla. Featuring the delicious ice cream, a crunchy wafer cone and, of course, the chocolate-flavoured tip. The new cones come in a box of 5, again selling for £3.
Magnum Bites, £3.50
Ice cream fans can also get their hands on Magnum's new Bites for £3.50. Each pack features twelve indulgent ice cream bites with three popular flavours including; Classic, White Chocolate and Almond, which are all covered in Magnum's infamous cracking shell.
Walls Ice Cream Mini Bites, £1.90
To satisfy your sweet tooth, Walls have also brought out their new Ice Cream Bites, available in two flavours; Vanilla and Strawberry - with each box featuring ten mini treats for just £1.90. The bites are perfect for sharing with the whole family, or keep them for yourself to enjoy.
In other news this week, Pret A Manger has revealed its much-loved croissants will be available to buy in 100 Tesco stores nationwide, marking the launch of Pret's first ever grocery food range.
Each packet includes six croissants, which come frozen and take under 30 minutes to cook and they're just £3 a pack. The tasty treats are available in Tesco stores now, with Pret's three bestselling flavours - Classic All Butter, Chocolate Filled and Vegan all on offer.
