Liverpool have confirmed that academy prospect Oakley Cannonier has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 17-year-old is already a familiar name to many supporters thanks to his small role in one of Anfield's most famous European nights.
Cannonier was serving as a ball boy as Liverpool thrashed Barcelona 4-0 in the second leg of the sides' Champions League semi-final en route to lifting the trophy in 2019.
And it was his speed in recycling the ball that ensured Trent Alexander-Arnold was able to take that famous quick corner from which Divock Origi put the Reds 4-3 up on aggregate.
Leeds-born Cannonier has been part of Liverpool's academy since joining from his hometown team at U12 level.
An attacking player, the teenager broke through into Marc Bridge-Wilkinson's U18s squad last term, ending the season with four league goals to his name.
Cannonier has also represented England at several youth levels.
