Corn futures are showing firm trade so far on Thursday, with most contracts holding within a penny of unchanged. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price is up 1/4 cent at $4.07 1/4.
Export Sales data from USDA showed 116,740 MT of corn for 2025/26, which was on the lower side of the 200,000 to 600,000 MT estimates in the week ending on July 30. That was a marketing year low and 31.5% below the same week last year. Sales for 2026/27 were tallied at 1.027 MMT, which was on the higher side of the expected 0.7-1.2 MMT. That was slightly blow the week prior’s MY high and well below last year.
The NOAA 7-day QPF shows rains across much of IA, MO, IL, IN, WI, MI, and OH over the next week with totals nearing 1 to up to 4 inches in some locations.
