Cork star Fiona Shaw was awarded Best Supporting Actress gong for her role in Killing Eve at the BAFTA Television Awards last night.
The Harry Potter actor beat stiff competition from Collateral's Billie Piper, Mrs Wilson's Keeley Hawes and A Very English Scandal's Monica Dolan to bag the prize.
The Cobh native praised Killing Eve's creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge's "glass-shattering genius and wayward imagination".
Holding the iconic BAFTA mask, she said: "All I can say is 'look, Phoebe, both hands - extraordinary'."
Speaking about her role as Carolyn in the spy drama, an emotional Fiona said it was "probably the greatest pleasure of my life."

She quipped: "People have begun to suspect that I am a spy!"
Fiona added that the director Harry Bradbeer had told her she couldn't play the role "with an Irish accent".
As she made her speech, she paid a special tribute to her wife, Dr Sonali Deraniyagala.

Among the first to congratulate Fiona was co-star Sandra Oh who tweeted:"Congratulations @KillingEve !!! BATFA for Best Series Fiona Shaw and @jodiecomer !!! Yay yay yay!! "
Killing Eve swept the boards, winning Best Drama Series and Jodie Comer winning Best Actress.
Meanwhile, there was disappointment for the popular comedy series Derry Girls which lost out to Sally4ever for the best scripted comedy award.
The series set during The Troubles in Northern Ireland has been hugely popular since its inception and was recently renewed for a third series.
