Cork pub's hilarious response to customer complaint of "smell of urine" in bathroom

A Cork bar's witty response to a customer complaint has gone viral.

The Bishopstown Bar are known for their social media accounts and special offers, but they are also quickly making a name for themselves as the voice of reason amid a growing trend of bizarre online reviews.

With a highly respectable aggregate score of 4.2 stars out of 5, the latest Google review for the bar stood out like a sore thumb, and the reason seems a tad unfair, Cork Beo reports.

The reviewer wrote, "There's a smell of urine out of the toilets, put me right off."

And the pub were quick to call the reviewer up on the criticism with a hilarious response.

"Thanks for your feedback," the bar owner wrote, "but for health and safety reasons we would advise customers not to eat or drink in the toilets in future."

Sound advice, we are sure you'll agree!

But the sage continued as the canny reviewer subsequently updated the review to take another unwarranted dig at the pub.

They said: "There's a smell of urine out of the toilets, put me right off, additionally I've just discovered this may be due to the owner having a bad attitude and not taking kindly to criticism."

However, the reputation of the pub remains intact, boasting a 4.6 out of 5 rating on Facebook and a 4.5 rating on TripAdvisor.

It looks like most people are very happy with the food and service at the Cork establishment.
