A Cork mum-of-two has told of how she transformed her figure after she replaced a daily glass of wine with healthy living.
Vikki Cronin, 45, admitted she used to drink seven times a week before shedding the pounds.
She said: “I had a massive sweet tooth. Takeaways would have been a big downfall of mine.
"And wine would have been a massive one. The mummy reward system — I had a tough day with the kids so I deserve a glass of wine.
“I’d drink seven times a week. It was a massive part of my life. There is the calories in the wine, and the munchies that leads to.”
However Vikki revealed that "flexible dieting" helped her lose weight and achieve the incredible figure she has today.
She told the Irish Sun: “In 2015 I said, ‘That’s it. Enough.’ I was fed up of constantly dieting, restricting myself and then bingeing at the weekend.
“I booked a personal trainer in January 2015 and that was it. I found Flexible Dieting.
“There are no bad foods. It’s calorie tracking.
"You track your calories, track your macro nutrients. You eat a certain amount of carbohydrates per day, protein and fats all within your calorie range for maintenance or weight loss.”
Vicki also revealed that the positive results from healthy living have been apparent in every aspect of her life.
She continued: “It has improved my health. I can honestly say in the past four years I have been sick four times. I don’t get colds anymore.
"I literally feel the benefits from head to toe. No money can buy being fit and healthy.”
