Cork locals confused as Dublin Bus coach spotted driving in rural area of county

There has been a bit of confusion in the last few days after a Dublin Bus coach was spotted around Clonakilty.

Far from the hustle and bustle of the capital, the double-decker was spotted by a number of people operating in the West Cork town on Sunday.

One of those who spotted it told CorkBeo that she was pretty sure there were people onboard and it appeared to be fully operational.

Aimee said: "I do think it had passengers on but I’m not 100% sure It actually says on the screen shuttle bus so I reckon it was taking people somewhere."

Aoife Ní Dhéisigh also spotted the blue and yellow bus parked up outside the Fish Basket on Long Strand Sunday but didn't see anyone in it that time.

Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann have been contacted, the latter of which said it isn't under their control.

Instead it is likely to be one of the 67 buses that were sold off by Dublin Bus back in 2017 as they welcomed in some new coaches.

We're not sure what to make of this...
