Cork Liverpool fan claims his song is responsible for dramatic Barcelona comeback

Cork's biggest Liverpool fan claims that he inspired Liverpool to their dramatic comeback victory over Barcelona on Tuesday.

Jurgen Klopp's men pulled in Barcelona's three goal lead after just 56 minutes at Anfield and Divock Origi's 78th minute winner meant that Liverpool put four past the Spanish champions.

And Reds superfan Kevin Murphy reckons that his new song had a part in it, after his viral hit inspired by Liverpool's front three captured the imagination of Liverpool fans.

Ahead of Liverpool's semi-final clash with Barcelona, Murphy wrote a new song to the tune of Abba's 'Dancing Queen' hit and he reckons it made the difference.

Injured Irishman Sean Cox 'lifted' after Liverpool's historic Champions League win over Barcelona

The song goes: "We're going to beat Messi, by more than three, in the Champions League.

"Joel Matip, dance for me, and we'll keep a clean sheet, oh yeah. But if they score, because they dive, we'll just go and score five."

And after 'crying all night' after Lionel Messi's masterclass in the first leg, the Cork native was sure his new song would inspire the Liverpool players.

He said: "We're still going to win, I know we're going to win.

"Last time when I wrote the Salah song we needed to win and then they won, like, because of the song."
