Cork based company Stryker have found that the footage spread on social media was not of their Christmas Party.
Messages and videos have been circulating across Whatsapp over the last month and it became one of the most talked about topics in Cork over the Christmas period.
The messages have gone so far that when you type "Stryker" into google "Stryker christmas party" is the first suggestion.
However, the company have confirmed to CorkBeo that the videos widely spread on social media are not from their party venue.
The communications team looked into the matter further and were able to confirm that the individuals in the videos were not Stryker employees - and no one has been dismissed or suspended either.
Last month the company told CorkBeo that they believed the information online to be "false" but have now been able to confirm as much.
Tens of thousands of people have received the messages, videos and voice notes over the past weeks with the false details.
