Cork City sign midfielder Cory Galvin from Waterford

Cory Galvin have signed Cory Galvin from Munster rivals Waterford.

The midfielder, 23, was at the RSC for the last season-and-a-half and was on the books of Bray Wanderers before that.

Galvin said: “Being a Corkman, naturally I’m a Cork City supporter so I’m proud to have signed for the club.”

“I know a few of the lads, so I’m looking forward to the start of pre-season, getting a feel for the squad and how Neale wants us to play.”

Rebels boss Fenn is busy putting his own stamp on the squad having taken over in the latter stages of last season.

Fenn said: “Cory is a very good midfield player. He’s young, eager to impress, and he’s local, which is exactly the type of player we want here.

“I’ve watched him many times over the last few years, for Waterford, Bray & Cabinteely, and he was a player that caught my eye.”

Meanwhile, former Cork City defender Sean McLoughlin is back at Hull City after the Championship club ended his loan spell with St Mirren.

McLoughlin, who joined Hull from Cork on a three-year deal last summer, was an ever present in the Scottish Premier League this season.
