Cork City make double-signing as English strikers join Neale Fenn's side

Cork City have unveiled their new kit….the Huddersfield Town striker Kit Elliott.

And the Rebels have also snapped up Scott Fenwick who was most recently with National League side Blyth Spartans.

Elliott, 19, and Fenwick, 30, have signed until the end of the season.

But they will miss Sunday’s clash with Bohemians and next week's Waterford game because of quarantine.

City boss Neale Fenn said: “They’re both out and out number 9s.

“Kit’s strength is his hold-up play. He’ll bring that aspect to our front line, which we probably don’t have at the moment, but he’s still young and needs to learn the game.

“Scott is a hardworking player with a good eye for goal and his goalscoring record in the lower leagues in England is second to none.”

Darragh Crowley has left City for Cobh Ramblers on loan until the end of the season.

Rebels chairman Declan Carey said: “The next 13 games are a sprint and we feel that we have the strength to have a strong remainder of the season.”
