Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said Friday he expects goalie Corey Crawford to return this season from what the team has called an upper-body injury.
Crawford has missed 11 games since he was put on injured reserve Dec. 27.
He last played Dec. 23, when he was pulled during the first period of a loss against the Devils after allowing three goals on seven shots.
Quenneville said placing Crawford on long-term injured reserve wasn't in the plans right now.
He said Crawford has been recovering in Chicago.
Crawford is 16-9-2 this season with a .929 save percentage and 2.27 goals-against average.
In other news, center Artem Anisimov returned to practice for the first time since he was put on injured reserve Dec. 29 with an upper-body injury.
