Corey Brewer called Westbrook ‘a great teammate’ in Q&A on Twitter

Corey Brewer only spent a few months playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder but even he saw how much a great teammate Russell Westbrook has been.

Of course, Brewer played 18 regular-season games with the Thunder last year after signing with the team following a buyout from the Los Angeles Lakers.

Brewer held a Q&A on Twitter earlier this week and fielded a number of questions from his followers, including one asking what it was like playing with Westbrook in his short stay in OKC.

After last season, the Thunder opted not to re-sign Brewer. He was without a team at the beginning of the season but eventually signed a pair of 10-day contracts with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Once the Sixers didn’t retain him, Brewer caught on with the Sacramento Kings on two 10-day contracts. The Kings eventually announced on Feb. 28 that they have signed him for the rest of the season.

Brewer squared off against the Thunder earlier this season with the 76ers. Prior to the game, he was seen interacting with his former teammates, including Westbrook.

While Westbrook has been accused by some of being a bad teammate, several current and former teammates have gone to bat for him, with Kevin Durant recently weighing in on the subject.

Brewer is another player that has consistently praised Westbrook as a player and a teammate so his recent comments on Twitter shouldn’t be that much of a surprise.

Brewer is averaging 4.5 points per game with the Kings this season.
