What Corentin Tolisso has said about his future amid Arsenal and Man Utd transfer rumours

Corentin Tolisso looks destined to leave Bayern Munich this summer.

And that could lead to a Premier League battle for his signature.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to England before, but chose Bayern over Premier League interest in 2017.

But the Frenchman may realise his Premier League dreams this summer, with plenty of interest in him from England's top flight.

Arsenal and Manchester United are the two names currently being linked with a transfer, although Tottenham were in the market for him in 2017 and could rekindle their interest.

And according to RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, United have begun discussions with the French midfielder's entourage ahead of a possible move.

Bayern are reportedly seeking at least £31m in order to allow him to depart this summer, which may in turn help them fund their own move for long-time target Kai Havertz.

But do Arsenal have an advantage, certainly over United, when it comes to signing the Frenchman?

Mikel Arteta is thought to be eyeing several options to strengthen central midfield in the summer, with Dani Ceballos' loan spell from Real Madrid to expire at the end of the campaign.

And Arsenal’s potential pursuit of Tolisso, who has made just seven Bundesliga appearances since Hans-Dieter Flick's arrival, will be boosted by the fact he has previously admitted that he ‘dreams’ of playing for the Gunners.

While at Lyon, Tolisso claimed that he wanted to join Arsenal when Arsene Wenger was in charge, but 12 months later he moved to Germany.

“Many clubs make me dream like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and England with teams like Arsenal," he said in 2017.

“I like the Premier League and I think I am well suited to it.

“It is the league that offers the most competition, it is the most open, the most hard-fought and the most spectacular.”
