Corentin Tolisso agent breaks silence on Manchester United transfer rumours

Corentin Tolisso's agent has shot down reports suggesting Manchester United are in talks to sign the midfielder in the summer transfer window.

A report from RMC Sport in France suggested United had opened talks with the Bayern Munich over a move at the end of the season, with the suggestion that a move could be completed for just €35m.

United are in the market for a new midfield signing in the summer window with Jack Grealish, Donny van de Beek and Kai Havertz already of interest to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

However, it seems like any hopes of a move for French midfielder Tolisso will have to be put on hold after his agent Eric Castagnino shot down the validity of recent reports.

"I'm not talking to Manchester United," the agent informed Sky Germany. "Corentin is currently injured and his return to the pitch is currently a top priority.”

The transfer development comes just hours after United favourite Rafael da Silva took to social media to urge his former side to sign the 'perfect midfielder' this summer.

Taking to Twitter the Lyon defender wrote: "One of best midfielders I play with. I think will be perfect for Manchester United. Hope he goes there."
