Cordarrelle Patterson wins Super Bowl ring with Patriots

The Patriots beat the Rams to capture Super Bowl LIII on Sunday, 13-3.

It wasn’t the most exciting game (that’s being generous), and if you were looking for storylines as a Vikings fan, one was that former Viking Cordarrelle Patterson now plays for the Patriots. Patterson finished with two rushes for seven yards and two catches for 14 yards.

He did most of his damage, though, on the opening kickoff, which he returned it for 38 yards. It didn’t lead to a Patriots score, however.

Patterson played for the Vikings from 2013-2016 and received All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections in both 2013 and 2016.

On the Los Angeles side, former Vikings center John Sullivan played in the game as a starter. It was a forgettable night for him with the Rams offense not being able to get anything going at all.

Patterson will be a free agent this offseason, while Sullivan is under contract through the 2019 season.
