Cordarrelle Patterson supports Matt Nagy ‘forever’

It appears Chicago Bears All-Pro returner Cordarrelle Patterson has heard the cries from Bears Twitter for the team to part ways with head coach Matt Nagy. He has a message of his own and wants everyone to know he still supports his head coach “forever.”

Patterson posted a brief, but strong message late Tuesday evening, saying “I stand with coach Nagy forever!!!”

His tweet comes after the Bears lost their fourth-straight game to drop them to .500 when they fell to the Minnesota Vikings 19-13. Interestingly enough, Patterson was one of the only bright spots for the Bears, scoring the team’s only touchdown when he took the second-half kickoff 104 yards to the house. But it wouldn’t be enough as the Bears’ playoff chances are looking bleak heading into the bye, which has fans calling for sweeping changes.

Patterson, one of the Bears players who regularly engages on social media, apparently heard the chatter and wanted to set the record straight on just how he feels about his head coach. If there is any friction in the locker room, Patterson wants to make it clear he stands with Nagy. The question is, does the rest of the team share that sentiment?

The veteran returner signed a two-year, $10 million deal with the Bears last offseason and has been used in Nagy’s offense as both a running back and receiver. He will be a free agent in the spring.
