July 31--Chicago police are alerting women on the Northwest Side to be careful after a man groped several women in the Lincoln Square neighborhood.The man is wanted for criminal sexual abuse involving the women on July 26 and July 27, according to police.
The first incident happened on July 26 at 11:20 p.m. as a woman was walking near Sunnyside and Damen Avenues, police said.
According to police a man came up behind the woman and reached under the woman's skirt and made inappropriate physical contact with his hands, police said.
The man fled southbound down an alley after the woman began to scream.
The second incident happened on July 27 at about 2 a.m. as another woman was walking near Damen and Lawrence Avenues several blocks north of the original incident.
The woman was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her around the waist and hugged her, police said. The man used one of his hands to inappropriately touch the woman and reached under her dress with his other hand, police said.
The woman managed to break free and run away. The man was spotted running southbound on Damen Avenue and westbound on Lawrence Avenue.
The man is described as a white Hispanic man between 19 and 30 years old. He is described as 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He weighs been 155 and 160 pounds and has a slim build and short dark hair.
The man was wearing a black hoodie with a white t-shirt and dark jeans in one instance and a white t-shirt and dark shorts in the other, police said.
