Police are appealing for information after paint was dumped over a BMW car in Moray.
The 6 Series white motor was left covered in grey paint on Monday.
It is believed the vandals struck between 3am and 8am.
Cops probing the incident are treating it as a 'targeted attack'.
PC Lisa Warren said: "This would appear to be a targeted attack, with a potential case of mistaken identity and an unrelated car damaged.
"Anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour in the area, or who has information about this, is urged to contact 101 and quote incident 0567 of February 11 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
