Cops to file chargesheet in girl murder case

JAIPUR: Kota police is aiming at filing the chargesheet in the murder case of a 15-year-old girl within a week and preparing the case by furnishing strong evidence to ask for capital punishment for the accused. Police are waiting for the reports from the forensics laboratory and have strong evidence to tell the court that it was a pre-planned cold blooded murder.

“We have got circumstantial evidence against the accused in this case. The medical report of the girl has been received by the investigating officer. It was found that it was a cold-blooded pre-planned murder case,” said Kota SP Kesar Singh on Thursday.

Singh said the accused said he was in love with the girl and was forcing her for physical relations. “It is also clear in the investigation so far that the accused was told by the girl not to bother her with his requests. This prompted the accused to eliminate the girl. We have also got some evidence to show that he downloaded the videos to learn how to strangulate a person,” Singh added.

“He was the girl’s tutor and the family had full confidence on him. Despite that, he planned the murder and executed it. It was a heinous murder case and we will request the court to give capital punishment to the accused,” Singh said.
