A man was Tasered by cops after he allegedly battered a 70-year-old man in a Paisley street.
It is claimed the 37-year-old punched the OAP to the ground during a dramatic incident in George Street yesterday at lunchtime.
A massive police presence was spotted in the area shortly after 12.30pm when a shocked passer-by raised the alarm.

Cops raced to the scene amid reports that a pensioner was being attacked by a man with a weapon.
A shopkeeper witnessed the drama unfold and told how officers arrived on the scene to contain the situation.
He said: “I heard a loud noise and went out see what it was. I heard one of the police officers say, ‘Taser, Taser, Taser’ before they fired.
“The guy was shouting in the street.
“There were loads of police cars in the area really quickly.
He added: “You don’t really hear of people being Tasered all that often, so it was quite scary.”
It is understood that as many as 20 police vehicles raced to the scene following the incident.
The pensioner is said to have suffered minor injuries and was checked over by medics at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed that a Taser was deployed during the incident.
He said: “Police were called to reports of a disturbance in George Street, Paisley, at around 12.30pm on Monday.
“During the course of the incident, a Taser was discharged.
“A 37-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
“A 70-year-old man suffered minor injuries.”
