Cops tape off section of Scots street after early morning 'incident'

Cops have taped off a Scots street amid an early morning 'incident'.

Emergency services raced to a section of Abbots Road and Newlands Road in Grangemouth at around 5:45am on Thursday May, 13.

It's after a person was found laying injured within a seated area next to the Grange Burn.

A major police investigation has now started with a large area of the street taped off by detectives as they try to establish exactly what has happened.

The injured person was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, where they are being treated for their injuries.

Two police vans and a number of officers can be seen guarding the scene.

One local, who lives nearby, told the Record: "Loads of police were here first thing this morning, along with two ambulances.

"The paramedics were there for quite a while before the police arrived.

"An officer chapped my door asking if I had heard or seen anything, but for once I actually didn't.

"It's a busy main road so I'd imagine someone will know something."

Police Scotland confirmed they're dealing with an incident in the town and that enquiries are ongoing, but at an early stage.
