Cops swoop on suspected 'shooting' in Beith residential street

Cops have swooped on a Scots street amid reports of a shooting.

Police vehicles have been seen on Hawthorn Street in Beith, North Ayrshire this morning.

Pictures from the scene show the residential street taped off with a police van blocking entry.

It is unclear if there have been any injuries from the incident.

Police Scotland has been contacted on the reported shooting in Beith this morning.
