Cops swoop on busy Falkirk street after alleged theft as woman arrested

Police have swooped on a street in Falkirk.

Three cop vans were spotted on Main Street in the Camelon area of the town earlier.

It's understood officers were alerted following reports of an alleged theft.

A 35-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Images shared with Falkirk Live show three police vehicles and two cops walking down the street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers attended a report of shoplifting at a shop on Redbrae Street in Falkirk shortly after 3.45pm on Monday, 2 May.

"A 35-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
