Cops have shut down a busy road near Inverness following a collision.
The A96 has been closed in both directions at Tornagrain after the smash at around 3pm on Tuesday, Septemeber 7.
It's not yet clear how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
Traffic Scotland warned motorists that police remain at the scene this evening and local diversions are in place.
The collision, near Inverness Airport, has brought traffic to a halt with queuing in the area.
Traffic is diverting from Nairn along the B9090 to Croy, and from there on the B9006 to Inverness, and vice versa.
An announcement from Traffic Scotland on Twitter shortly before 4:30pm read: "Both directions remain closed at Tornagrain due to an RTC. Police are on scene. A local diversion is in place, however road users are advised there are roadworks on the B9039."
It's not yet known if anyone has been injured.
