Cops seize guns, ammunition and £50k of drugs during raids in Glasgow

A woman has been arrested after cops seized a haul of guns, ammunition and drugs worth £50k during raids in Glasgow.

Officers from Police Scotland forced entry to three addresses in Tallant Road, Drumchapel, on Friday, July 3 after being granted search warrants.

Two firearms were found and the main quantity of drugs is believed to be heroin.

A 44-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the seizures.

She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, July 6.

Detective Inspector Jim Bradley, based at Baird Street Police Station, said: "We will always proactively target people who are believed to be involved in criminal activity and our enquiries remain ongoing.

"I would encourage people with any information about drug crime or suspicious behaviour in their area that is potentially linked to criminality to contact us on 101.

“Information from the public is important and helps us do our job to protect people and our communities."
