Cops seize coke worth £200k after watching car park drugs handover

Police seized cocaine worth more than £200,000 after watching a drugs handover in a car park.

Officers put Alan Boulter, 35, under surveillance and saw him meeting James Elder, 26, in Edinburgh.

They then stopped Elder, from Livingston, and found £7,500 worth of the Class A drug in his Audi.

Officers also stopped Boulter, of Edinburgh, and found keys for a flat in the city’s Gorgie, where they uncovered more than 1.5kg of cocaine.

At the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday, both men admitted being concerned in the supply of the drug on June 14 last year.

Sentence was deferred.
