Cops searching for woman missing in Edinburgh launch public appeal

Concerns are growing for a missing woman in Edinburgh as police launch an appeal for the public’s help in tracing her.

Julie Burns was last seen in the Clovenstone area at around 11.30am on Sunday morning.

The 38-year-old is described as a white female, 5ft 3in, average build, brown eyes with brown bobbed hair tied back in a ponytail.

She was last seen wearing a green army style jacket, blue jeans and blue flip flops.

A Police Scotland statement said: “Anyone who may have seen her since this time, or who has any information on her whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 2144 of the 18th August 2019.”
