Cops searching for two men after late night theft and assaults in Glasgow

Detectives are hunting for two men after two incidents involving theft and assault in Glasgow.

Both incidents occurred on Wednesday, May 13. At around 10.25pm, two men were in a take-away shop in Paisley Road when they assaulted one of the delivery drivers and stole food before leaving the shop and crossing over to Admiral Street. The driver was uninjured.

Once in Admiral Street, the men assaulted a member of the public and tried to steal his bike.  The man did not require medical treatment and managed to keep hold of his bike.

Police Scotland are now appealing for information to help find the two suspected.

The men are described as white and aged between 20 and 25 years old.  One man had a heavy build, dark hair and was wearing a grey Adidas top and black trousers.  The second man had a shaven head, wearing a light coloured, hooded Adidas top and black Under Armour jogging trousers.

Officers have been checking CCTV footage for any additional information.

Detective Constable Kirstie Black said: “From our enquiries carried out so far, we know there were other people in the area at the time of the incidents.

"They may not be aware these two men are responsible for these crimes and I would ask them to get in touch with us as I’m sure they have information which could assist our enquiries as we try to locate these two men."

Anyone with any information is asked to call officers at Govan Police Station via 101.  Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
