Cops search Loch Ness for missing Lukasz Keska who plunged from boat

A police helicopter is scouring the banks of Loch Ness in the hunt for a missing Polish man who fell off a boat last month.

Lukasz Keska, from Inverness, is understood to have been taking a comfort break on the Miss Adventure yacht when he plunged into the water on July 9.

A friend dived in to try and save his stricken pal but was then rescued from the water himself a short time later near Dores Bay.

No trace of 34-year-old Lukasz has been found since despite police divers being called in in the days following the tragedy.

Police Scotland announced that their helicopter would be flying in the area on Thursday as they continued to look for the missing man.

Chief Inspector Mairi Macinnes, Local Area Commander for Inverness, said: "Police Scotland continue the search to find missing man Lukasz Keska, 34, who fell into Loch Ness on 9 July, 2020.

“Officers are continuing searches, assisted by the Air Support Unit.

“His next of kin are being kept informed and are being supported by police."

They also appealed for anyone with information to contact the force on 101.
