Cops release image of teenager who might be able to assist enquires after assault on Scots street

Police have released an image of a teenager they are trying to trace following an assault which left two people in hospital.

Officers believe the man may be able to assist with their enquiries after an assault last year, near Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs, at the entrance to the Triangle shopping precinct.

The incident happened around 5.50pm on September 27, 2020, and a man and woman required hospital treatment as a result.

The male police are keen to speak to is described as being between 14 and 16-years-old, of medium build and has short dark hair.

He can be seen to be wearing a dark hooded jacket, dark jogging trousers and dark trainers.

Detective Constable Steven Gault, from Kirkintilloch Police Station said: “I would appeal to anyone who recognises the male in the image, or for the male himself to contact police as it is important he be spoken to as part of our investigation as he may have information that can help.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact CID at Kirkintilloch Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 3090 of 27/09/20.

"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence."
