Cops release CCTV images after man spat in rail worker's face at Glasgow train station

British Transport Police have released an image of a man after a member of staff was spat on at Glasgow Central Station.

Officers investigating an assault have today released a CCTV image in connection with the incident.

At 1.30pm on Saturday November 14 2020, a man was challenged at the station’s ticket barriers by a member of rail staff for attempting to travel on a child’s ticket.

Due to having an invalid ticket the man was refused travel but he then spat in the face of the member of rail staff and fled the station.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information is being urged to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2000085354.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
