Police have released a CCTV image after a serious assault left a man hospitalised in Glasgow.
The 34-year-old man was brutally attacked on a footpath on the Gallowgate, near to the junction with Melbourne Street.
He was approached by a man who assaulted him, causing him to strike his head off the kerb.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9pm on Friday, July 23, and rushed the victim rushed to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment following the incident.
Now police have shared images of a man they believe could assist with the investigation.
He is described as around 5ft 10ins in height with a strong build and was wearing an orange t-shirt and blue shorts.
Detective Constable Jamie Whitton said:“It is believed the man pictured may be able to assist with us with our enquiries.
“The man is described as being between 30-35 years old with a tanned complexion.
"He is around 5ft 10ins in height, strong build.
"He was wearing an orange t-shirt and blue shorts.
“I am appealing to the man or any members of the public who may recognise him to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 1641 of 29 July, 2021.
"Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
