Locals reported seeing a man standing in the River Kelvin.

It is understood he was forcibly removed and taken away by officers in a police van.

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.

Inspector Paul Daley, of Glasgow Partick Police Station, said: "A 43-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with assaulting police officers and resisting arrest following a report that man threatened a member of the public at Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow around 12.15pm on Friday, 2 April, 2020.
