Cops race to Scots street as man wanders around with knife

Cops raced to a street in Glenrothes after reports of a man wielding a knife.

The individual was allegedly seen carrying a blade on Waverley Drive at around 5.30pm on Friday, February 19.

Cops apprehended a 28-year-old man in the residential street.

The man was then arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear at court at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.30pm on Friday, 19 February, police received a report of a man in possession of a knife in Waverley Drive, Glenrothes.

"Officers attended and a 28-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with this incident. He will appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date.

"A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
