Cops race to 'ongoing incident' at Haymarket Station in Edinburgh

Train services into Edinburgh have been stopped after cops were called to deal with an “aggressive” passenger.

Officers from British Transport Police rushed to Haymarket Station to deal with the incident this afternoon.

All services between Waverley Station and Haymarket were stopped while the situation was brought under control.

Officers are currently still at the scene.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “British Transport Police were called to reports of an aggressive passenger at Haymarket Station, in Edinburgh.

“The call came in at approximately 12.30pm.

“The officers are still responding to the incident and we are hoping to bring it to a conclusion soon.”
