Cops race to Dundee park in frantic search for elderly lady

Police Scotland officers have raced to a park in Dundee to search for a vulnerable elderly lady.

The woman who is believed to be in her 80s was seen in Camperdown Park this afternoon.

She was only wearing a light coat and slippers when she was spotted.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are currently searching Camperdown Park in Dundee following reports from the public concerned about the welfare of an elderly woman.

“She was last seen in the park, at the main entrance to the park from Coupar Angus Road (at the McDonalds end) about 2.35pm this afternoon, Saturday 6th February, 2021.

“She is described as white, around 80 years old and is wearing a lilac waterproof coat and slippers.

“If you have any information that could help us identify and trace the lady, please contact 101 quoting incident number 1920 of 6 February.”
