Hundreds of teenagers headed to Troon beach today for what looked like a booze-fuelled party.
Cops seized dozens of alcohol from the young revellers as they made their way to the South Ayrshire seaside.
Images show police officers greeting swarms of teenagers at the train station where they immediately had their bags searched.
Bottles of Buckfast, MD 2020 and Dragon Soops were amongst the bag of booze snagged by cops.
A social media event inviting party-goers to Troon for afternoon 'sesh' in the sun went viral.
Hundreds of teens said they would be attending, with one offering to bring his DJ equipment.
South Ayrshire Police commended the efforts of the British Transport Police for seizing the alcohol from the teens.
They tweeted: "Great work by our colleagues at BTP.
"Their efforts this morning have helped keep Troon a safe place for everyone today."
