Cops are appealing for information after a man was attacked by a gang in an "unprovoked attack" in Stranraer at the weekend.
The man was assaulted by several people on Hillside Drive around 1am on Saturday morning.
Officers have launched a probe into the incident and are urging anyone with information to get in touch.
A Police Scotland statement said: "Police at Stranraer are appealing for witnesses following the report of an Assault at Hillside Drive, Stranraer.
"The incident took place around 0100 hours on 31 July 2021.
"The incident involved an unprovoked attack committed by several persons on a male.
"Anyone with any information is encouraged to speak with Police either through 101 quoting incident number 0284 of the 31st July 2021 or anonymously through Crimestoppers."
