Motherwell man named locally as cops probe 'suspicious' death after disturbance

Cops are investigating the death of a man after an incident in Holytown.

Officers were called to Quarry Street at around 5.50am this morning following reports of a disturbance which resulted in the death of a 23-year-old man who has been named locally as Cameron McMillan.

Emergency services attended and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances around the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said the death is being treated as suspicious.
