Cops probe massive £12,500 shoe robbery from Scots industrial estate

A probe has been launched after thousands of pounds of high-end shoes were stolen from a Scots industrial estate.

The footwear, worth around £12,500, was lifted from commercial premises on East Kilbride's Langlands Commerical Park.

Included in the haul were 'Shephy' branded shoes.

Police believe the robbery took place between 2pm on Wednesday, 8 December, 2021 and 7.30am on Friday, 10 December, 2021.

In a statement, cops urged anyone who is approached and offered the shoes for sale to get in touch with the force.

The statement read: "Officers in East Kilbride are appealing for witnesses after a commercial premises in Langlands Commerical Park in the town was broken into and footwear to the value of around £12,500 stolen.

"The incident happened between 2pm on Wednesday, 8 December, 2021 and 7.30am on Friday, 10 December, 2021.

"This included a large number of 'Shephy' branded footwear.

"If you are approached to purchase these items, or have any further information, please contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 0562 of 10 December 2021. An anonymous report can also be made to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
