Cops probe fire at Scots property after fire crews tackle flames

Cops have launched a probe after a property was set on fire in Aberdeen.

Fire fighters tackled the blaze on Golf Road in the city last night around 11.50pm.

Police have now launched an investigation and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

No one was injured in the incident.

Sergeant Terence Brady said: “Fortunately no one was injured but damage was caused to the property and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

“Anyone with information about what happened or who may have seen something suspicious is asked to contact us on 101, quoting incident 3713 of Wednesday, 10 March.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.45pm on Wednesday, March 10 to reports of a building fire at Golf Road, Aberdeen.

“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene.

“Firefighters extinguished a fire within a derelict property and left after ensuring the area was made safe.

“There were no reported casualties.”
