Cops probe death mystery after 48-year-old dies suddenly in Brechin home

Police are probing the mystery death of a man whose body was found in a Brechin home.

The grim find was made in Mountskip Road at around 12.05pm yesterday.

Cops rushed to the scene and the 48-year-old was later pronounced dead.

Officers have launched an investigation with inquiries ongoing.

The death is currently being treated as "unexplained" with a report due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Officers were called to an address in Mountskip Road, Brechin, at around 12.05pm on Friday, 23 October following the sudden death of a 48-year-old man.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
