Cops of 3 states meet in Sirsa

SIRSA: A meeting of Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan state police officers was organized on Tuesday in Sirsa to discuss conducting of Ellenabad byelection in a fair and free manner. The poll will be held on October 30.

This meeting was chaired by Sirsa superintendent of police (SP) Arpit Jain while Hanumangarh SP Preeti Jain, Bathinda SP Major Singh, Mansa SP Sandeep Garg and DSP Narendra Singh from Muktsar Sahib and many police officers of Punjab and Rajasthan police force were present. In addition to the Rajasthan border adjoining Ellenabad, there was a detailed discussion regarding the setting up of common nakas along the Punjab and Rajasthan borders with the Sirsa district. Sirsa SP Arpit Jain said the police officers of the three states should cooperate with each other by establishing better coordination in order to conduct the Ellenabad byelections in a fair and free manner.

He added that vigilance should be set up at police points along the border and every vehicle and person passing through it should be checked closely.
