Cops make two arrests after man left with 'serious injuries' in Glasgow street 'disturbance'

A man has been hospitalised with 'serious injuries' following a 'disturbance' in Glasgow.

Cops swooped on St George's Road in the Charing Cross area of the city at around 3.35pm where they discovered the man badly hurt.

He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with what police describe as 'serious injuries'.

Two men, aged 17 and 18, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

It is unclear how the man was injured.

St George's Road remains closed as officers conduct enquires locally.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called to a report of a disturbance on St George's Road, Glasgow, around 3.35pm on Sunday, 5 July.

A man has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries. Two men, aged 17 and 18, have been arrested in connection. The road has been closed while enquiries are carried out."
