Cops have locked down a busy Glasgow road after a 'serious' rush-hour crash.
Emergency services raced to Eglinton Street at around 8:45am on Wednesday morning, October 6.
The road has been shut down in both directions, taped off by police between Cook Street and Nelson Street/Norfolk Street.
Glasgow City Council’s Traffic Control and Management team warned drivers of the closure earlier today.
A statement read: “Due to an earlier road traffic collision, Eglinton Street is closed in both directions between Cook Street and Nelson Street/Norfolk Street.”
It's not yet clear if anyone has been injured in the smash.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.45am on Wednesday, 6 October, police were called to a serious road crash in Eglinton Street, Glasgow.
"Emergency services are in attendance and Eglinton Street is currently closed at Wallace Street.
"Enquiries are continuing."
