Cops lock down Aberdeen shopping centre after early morning incident

Cops have locked down an area at a shopping centre in Aberdeen after an incident in the early hours.

Officers from Police Scotland have taped off the Roof Garden at the St Nicholas Centre in the city this morning as they investigate.

The nature of the incident is not known at this stage, however police were keen to stress it's an isolated incident.

The cordon is expected to remain in place for a large part of the day.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police Scotland is investigating an incident at the St Nicholas Centre that occurred in the early hours of this morning.

"At this point inquiries are ongoing and nothing further can be released.

"We believe this to be an isolated incident."
