Cops have launched an urgent search for a missing Scots pensioner.
John Lumsden, 78, was last seen in the Balmoral area of Galashiels around 2pm today.
He is described as around 5 foot 6 and of medium build.
He has white hair which is parted to the side and has a white beard. He is thought to be wearing jeans, brown shoes and a dark blue jacket with a hood.
Acting Police Inspector Paul Begley said “We are growing increasingly concerned for John’s safety and wellbeing. We are keen to hear from anyone who may know where John is or believe they have seen someone matching his description.
"If anyone does have any information or believes they have seen John, please contact us on 101 quoting incident 2088 of 5th July 2021"
