Cops launch urgent hunt after teenagers vanish in Inverness

Cops have launched an urgent hunt for a pair of missing teenagers in the highlands.

Nathan Bell, 17, and Danielle Cameron, 16, have both been reported missing from the Inverness area and are believed to be together.

Nathan was last seen at the Highland capital's Sheriff Court on Thursday at 2.15pm while Danielle vanished from Charleston Academy on the same day around 2pm.

Police are keen to trace the pair and have issued descriptions.

A statement issued this morning by Highlands and Islands division reads: "Nathan was last seen in the area of Inverness Sheriff Court on Thursday 16th September about 2.15pm.

"Nathan is described as being 5ft 10" tall, large build, white complexion, short brown hair. It is unknown what he was wearing at the time.

"Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting MPR4449680921

"Nathan is believed to be in the company of 16-year-old Danielle Cameron who has also been reported missing.

"Danielle was last seen in the area of Charleston Academy on Thursday 16th September about 2pm.

"Danielle is described as being 5ft 2" tall, average build, pale complexion, long light brown hair, wearing a white top, black Nike shorts, white trainers and possibly carrying a black rucksack.

"Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting MPR4448590921."
