Cops launch search for Peterhead man missing after night out with pals

Police are searching for a missing man last spotted in Peterhead after a night out.

Ruaridh Sandison has been reported missing in Aberdeenshire and was last seen by friends in the Gadle Braes area of the town on Saturday, August 10 at 4.20am.

The 24-year-old is described as being 6' in height, slim build, with ginger hair.

Following a night out in the centre of the town, he was last seen was wearing a white jumper, black jeans and white trainers.

Inspector Gareth Hannan said: "I would ask anyone who has seen Ruaridh or a male matching his description to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2611 of 10/08/19.

"I would also like to advise residents of Peterhead that there will be an increased police presence in the area as we carry out our enquiries assisted by the Coastguard."
